how can i get scratches off my xbox 360 video game?

I had one deep scratch in my nba live 09 and couldnt even play it, but got it out at game crazy and now i can play only to the end then it stops. i notice there is scratches around the ring of the disc and i tried rubbing alcohol but it didnt work. any ideas?

    It sounds gross and ridiculous but u can flush it the toilet. or u can pay money to get it fixed at a blockbuster or gamestop
